About

SARAH HASSON

PRINCIPAL & OWNER

Sarah Hasson was born in Guelph, Ontario where she grew up on a Polled Hereford operation called Gold-Bar Livestock. The farm was located just north of the city in a small town called Ariss. Sarah’s parents, David and Angela Hasson and grandparents, Joe & Emma Hasson all farmed over 200 purebred Hereford Females together. Growing up, Gold-Bar Livestock exhibited many Champions across North America and Sarah was a active participant in the 4-H program and the Canadian Junior Hereford Association. Gold-Bar Livestock had earned global recognition for their Hereford genetics and Sarah’s father traveled extensively as a marketer and sought after judge.

Gold-Bar Livestock held 2 annual production sales each year at the farm and Sarah and her three sisters were active participants in all aspects of working with the livestock. The family also opened their facillity to other breeders to host other breed sales throughout the year.

In 1997, Gold-Bar Livestock moved into the Red Angus breed and Sarah attended the University of Guelph where she received a degree in Animal Science. From 2001-2011 Sarah worked as a Certified Financial Planner and Investment Advisor.

In 2016, Sarah and her daughters relocated the farm to Caron, SK and this is where they now call home. The passion for the livestock industry continues with Sarah providing her services to all provinces across Canada. Sarah is proud to offer her Photography and Video services through Golden Thread Livestock Images as well as the powerful online marketing services provided by DLMS.
